Bringing Local Events to Life

At WRFM, we don’t just sit in the studio — we’re out in the community.

Our outside broadcasts bring local events, festivals, fundraisers and community initiatives directly to listeners across  Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds From agricultural shows and music festivals to charity days, town celebrations and sporting events, WRFM is proud to be part of what makes our area special.

  • Chipping Norton Festival of Rugby - April 26th

    Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 08:00 to 16:00. The event features junior rugby (U10s and U11s), with U10s sold out and limited spaces remaining for U11s, featuring over 700 players and 1,500+ spectators. It includes food, bars, and entertainment.

  • Little Ox Brewery Birthday - 18th April

    2pm until late, at Little Ox Brewery, Freeland
    We are turning 10, and you are invited. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or are discovering us for the first time, come raise a glass, enjoy the atmosphere, and help us toast to the past 10 years - and many more to come. The masters of fried chicken Gurt Wings will bring their amazing food and the Bontemps will set the vibe with their funk and soul fusion. Family and dog friendly, free entry.

  • Eynsham Carnival - 4th July

    The annual Eynsham Carnival is one of the oldest of its kind in the county and celebrated its 75th year in 2023. Main attractions include a parade, outside stalls and craft fair, arena acts, fun fair and the famous shirt race.

  • Charlbury Beer Festival 2026 - 27th june

    Charlbury Beer Festival is one of the Cotswolds’ best-loved summer events — a celebration of great beer, live music, food, and fun for the whole family. Run entirely by volunteers, we raise money for good causes locally and beyond.

  • West Oxon Steam and Vintage Show - 18th July

    The West Oxfordshire Steam & Vintage Show is an annual family-friendly event celebrating Britain’s engineering and agricultural heritage. It takes place near Witney and attracts exhibitors and visitors from across the region.

  • Cogges Beer Festival 2026 - 8th August

    The Cogges Beer & Cider Festival 2026 is scheduled for Saturday, 8th August 2026, held in the historic barns at Cogges Manor Farm in Witney, Oxfordshire. The event features over 40 craft beers and ciders, live music, a BBQ, and family-friendly activities. Tickets generally include a commemorative glass and drinks tokens.

  • FFF&B Ploughing Match - 27th September

    The FFF&B Ploughing Match is the annual Fairford, Faringdon, Filkins & Burford Ploughing Championships & Country Show — a traditional agricultural event that brings together ploughing competitions, vintage machinery, farm displays, trade stands, homecraft sections, food stalls and more. It’s run by the Fairford, Faringdon, Filkins & Burford Ploughing Society and has been held for many decades
